A domestic argument in Pedavadlapudi village of Mangalagiri mandal ended in a fatal incident late Thursday night. What began as a disagreement over reducing the television volume escalated into violence, resulting in the death of a young man.
Police identified the deceased as Sheik Ahmed (26), an AC mechanic by profession and a resident of Pedavadlapudi. Officials said Ahmed had asked his wife, Kranthi, to lower the TV sound, which led to a heated exchange inside their residence.
Background of the Relationship
According to police, Ahmed and Kranthi came into contact around one and a half years ago. Their association later developed into a relationship, after which they got married and started living together.
Kranthi was previously married, and her first husband is currently serving a jail term in connection with a criminal case. Following those circumstances, she entered into a second marriage with Ahmed.
Police Action and Investigation
During the argument on Thursday night, Kranthi allegedly attacked Ahmed with a knife in a moment of anger. He sustained serious injuries in the assault. Officials said Ahmed died before he could be shifted to a hospital for treatment.
After receiving information, police reached the scene, registered a murder case, and began an investigation. Kranthi has been taken into custody and is being questioned in connection with the incident.
Further details in the case are awaited as the investigation continues.
