Hyderabad Task Force Police Foil Wife Murder Plot, Arrest Businessman
Hyderabad Task Force police arrested a businessman after uncovering an alleged plan to murder his second wife and another individual. The arrest followed intelligence inputs about illegal weapons and suspicious movements linked to the accused.
Police said timely intervention prevented a possible violent incident. The operation was conducted after officials received information that the accused had procured a firearm and was attempting to contact individuals connected to criminal activities.
Personal dispute triggers alleged murder plan
According to investigators, the accused had first married a woman who later developed serious health complications. With her consent, he subsequently married her younger sister to assist with family responsibilities and household matters.
Police said the family initially lived without conflict. However, over the past few months, the businessman reportedly began suspecting that his second wife was maintaining close contact with another individual.
Officials stated that the issue gradually spread among relatives and acquaintances. The accused reportedly believed that the situation was damaging his reputation in society.
Illegal firearm purchased from Bihar
Investigators said the businessman allegedly decided to eliminate both his second wife and the other individual. Police stated that he travelled to Bihar and purchased a country-made pistol along with bullets through illegal channels.
After returning to Hyderabad, he reportedly practised firing the weapon in isolated locations. Police said the accused wanted to ensure accuracy and avoid suspicion.
Authorities also found that he was attempting to contact known offenders to explore hiring professional killers to carry out the attack.
Task Force operation prevents incident
Hyderabad Task Force units monitoring criminal networks received information about the suspect moving with a firearm and seeking contacts linked to contract killings.
Acting on the intelligence, officers conducted a discreet investigation and located the accused. Police detained him before the alleged murder plan could be executed.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted that he planned the attack due to anger over the personal dispute.
Weapons seized and investigation continues
Police recovered a country-made pistol and live bullets from the accused during the operation. Authorities also arrested three other individuals who allegedly assisted in the procurement of the illegal weapon.
Officials said the investigation is continuing to determine how the weapon was sourced and whether others were involved in the plan.
Police also warned that personal disputes should be resolved through lawful means and not through acts of violence.
