The situation escalated when BRS workers reportedly intercepted a person allegedly moving ballot boxes under unclear circumstances in Old Palvoncha. As the individual failed to provide consistent answers, BRS leaders moved both the person and the ballot box to the Palvoncha Police Station for further inquiry.
Police later confirmed that one polling box was taken into custody. Efforts are ongoing to trace the remaining ballot boxes, officials said.
