The Telangana Gurukul Common Entrance Test (TGCET-2026) will be conducted across the state on February 22. The examination is scheduled at 492 centres, covering all districts.
The announcement was made on Friday by S. Krishna Aditya, Chief Convener of the entrance test and Secretary of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society.
Admissions for 2026–27 Academic Year
The entrance test is being held for admissions to Gurukul institutions for the academic year 2026–27. It covers entry into Class 5 and also aims to fill vacant seats in Classes 6 to 9.

Admissions will be offered in SC, ST, BC, and General Gurukul institutions based on performance in the entrance test. Officials have indicated that arrangements have been completed to ensure smooth conduct of the examination across all centres.
