Assault Incident Reported in P. Vemavaram Village
An alleged assault incident has been reported from P. Vemavaram village in Samarlakota mandal of Kakinada district after a dispute between a couple over a second marriage.
According to the complaint, Manikantha allegedly attacked his wife Devi, after she opposed his decision to marry again. The incident occurred on a public road where the accused reportedly pushed her to the ground and beat her during the altercation.
Couple Married in 2021
Manikantha and Devi had entered into a love marriage in 2021. Devi is currently working as an excise constable.
The dispute began after Manikantha reportedly decided to marry his niece as a second wife. Devi objected to the proposal, which led to frequent arguments between the couple.
Dispute Escalates Into Physical Assault
During one such confrontation, the argument reportedly escalated into physical violence. Manikantha allegedly forced Devi onto the road and assaulted her in public.
Following the incident, Devi approached the police seeking action against her husband.

Devi has lodged a complaint at the Sarpavaram Police Station requesting justice. Police are expected to examine the complaint and take appropriate action based on the allegations presented.
