Day 26 Update on Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Worldwide: For about a month now, the producers of the spy action movie Dhurandhar have been enjoying its success. The film, which was directed by Aditya Dhar, has made over Rs 1100 crore globally and Rs 700 crore domestically. With daily box office receipts falling into the Rs 10–15 crore region, the movie is finally beginning to show some symptoms of strain. The movie made Rs 11.25 crore on day 26 of its cinema run, bringing its total domestic receipts to Rs 712.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The only non-multilingual Indian movie to reach 1000 crores (excluding China) is the Ranveer Singh picture.
The global box office receipts of films like Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 (Rs 686 crore), Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 (Rs 857 crore), Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava (Rs 807 crore), and Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan (Rs 1,055 crore) have already been eclipsed by Dhurandhar. The movie now aims to break the record set by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which brought in Rs 1,160 crore globally.
The military drama Ikkis, Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, and Vijay’s Jana Nayagan are among the upcoming films that are anticipated to compete with the Ranveer Singh film in the coming weeks. In an apparent attempt to avoid being overshadowed by Dhurandhar’s robust box office momentum, director Sriram Raghavan postponed the release of Ikkis until the New Year. The creators of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, on the other hand, decided not to change their release schedule. Due to fierce competition from Dhurandhar, Avatar: Fire, and Ash, the Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday film is now having trouble at the box office.
