Chandrababu Naidu Extends Greetings on TDP’s 44th Foundation Day
Amaravati, March 28 – Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu conveyed greetings to party cadres, supporters, and well-wishers on the occasion of the party’s 44th foundation day.
Naidu stated that TDP is not just a political platform but a representation of the aspirations of millions of Telugu people. He recalled the vision of party founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), who entered public life with the slogan “Samajame Devalayam – Prajale Devullu” (Society is the temple, people are the gods), marking a rare moment in Indian politics.
Message Shared on Social Media
In his post on X (Twitter), Naidu described the foundation day as a festival for every party worker. He reiterated that TDP continues to follow NTR’s principle of providing food, shelter, and clothing to the poor. “The Telugu Desam Party is a party of workers. On this foundation day, I extend greetings to each and every member of the TDP family,” Naidu wrote.
Lokesh Highlights Party’s Role in Social Recognition
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, also shared his message on X. He said TDP was born to uphold the self-respect and progress of Telugu people. Lokesh noted that the party, inspired by NTR, stood firmly with the poor and marginalized sections of society.
He added that TDP was instrumental in bringing political and social recognition to weaker sections after its formation. Lokesh emphasized that the party introduced welfare measures to the country and continues to move forward with the goal of making the Telugu people number one globally.
Context of TDP’s Formation
Founded in 1982 by NTR, TDP emerged as a regional force in Andhra Pradesh politics. Over the decades, it has played a significant role in shaping welfare policies and regional identity. The party’s foundation day is observed annually with messages from leaders and celebrations by cadres across the state.
