YS Vijayalakshmi on YSR family asset distribution
YS Vijayalakshmi issues statement on YSR family assets and distribution
Remarks focus on asset ownership and family understanding
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s wife, YS Vijayalakshmi, has made a public statement regarding the ownership and distribution of family assets, raising issues related to inheritance within the YSR family.
Her remarks addressed the status of assets held up to the time of YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s death and the understanding within the family regarding their division.
Assets remained undivided during YSR’s lifetime
YS Vijayalakshmi stated that all assets existing until YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s death were treated as family assets. She noted that there was no formal division of these properties during his lifetime.
The statement reiterates that the assets continued to be collectively regarded as belonging to the family, without any partition process being carried out.
Reference to intended distribution among grandchildren
According to YS Vijayalakshmi, YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s intention was for the assets to be distributed equally among his four grandchildren. She indicated that this understanding was known to those close to him.
The remarks place emphasis on what she described as a known position within the family regarding future allocation of assets.
MOU and claim over specific assets
She further stated that all assets mentioned in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) were meant to belong to Sharmila. The statement did not elaborate on the details of the agreement but referred to it as a documented understanding.
This assertion links specific properties listed in the MOU to Sharmila’s claim.
Allegation regarding fairness in distribution
YS Vijayalakshmi also alleged that YS Jagan had acted unfairly in matters related to asset distribution involving his nephew and niece.
The remarks bring attention to concerns raised within the family over how assets have been handled.
