LPG Companies Issue Helplines for Delayed Gas Cylinder Delivery
Oil Companies Issue Helplines for LPG Delivery Delays After Booking
Oil marketing companies have asked domestic LPG consumers to register complaints if a booked gas cylinder is not delivered within the stipulated time. The advisory follows updated service guidelines issued under the Centre’s revised delivery rules.
Consumers who book a cylinder are expected to receive delivery within about two and a half days from the time of booking. Oil companies have said customers should report delays if the cylinder is not delivered within this period.
Delivery Timeline Under New Rules
Under the new rules introduced by the Union government, LPG distributors must ensure that a booked cylinder reaches the consumer within the prescribed timeframe. The measure aims to improve delivery efficiency and reduce delays faced by households.
Officials said consumers should monitor their booking status and delivery timelines. If the cylinder is not delivered within roughly two and a half days after booking, customers are advised to contact the respective company’s complaint helpline.
The complaint mechanism is intended to address delays quickly and ensure accountability at the distributor level.
Helpline Numbers for Major LPG Providers
Consumers using Indane LPG services can lodge complaints through the helpline numbers 1800-2333-555 or 7718955555 if their cylinder delivery is delayed after booking.
Customers of Bharat Gas can report delivery issues by calling 1800-22-4344 or 7715012345. The complaint can be registered if the delivery does not happen within the expected timeframe.
For HP Gas users, complaints regarding delayed cylinder delivery can be made through 1800-2333-555 or 9493602222.
Complaint System to Improve Service Monitoring
Oil companies said the helpline system enables consumers to directly report delivery issues. Once a complaint is registered, the matter can be tracked and addressed through the customer service network of the respective company.
The complaint mechanism is also expected to help authorities monitor delivery timelines and ensure that LPG distributors comply with the guidelines issued by the Centre.
Consumers are encouraged to retain booking details and reference numbers while registering complaints so that the issue can be processed without delay.
