Woman enters patient room posing as doctor
A theft incident involving a woman posing as a doctor has been reported at Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad, prompting a police investigation. The woman allegedly entered a patient’s room wearing a medical apron and claimed she had come to provide treatment.
According to the complaint, the woman instructed the patient’s family members to leave the room so that she could attend to the patient. Assuming she was part of the hospital’s medical staff, the relatives stepped outside as directed.
Patient found unconscious inside hospital room
The patient, Sudharani, a resident of Old Bowenpally, had been admitted to the hospital due to illness. The incident reportedly occurred around the time she was scheduled to be discharged.
After the woman left the room, the patient’s relatives went inside and found Sudharani unconscious. The situation raised suspicion among the family members.
They immediately alerted the hospital management about the incident. During this time, the relatives also discovered that ten tolas of gold ornaments belonging to the patient were missing.
Hospital management denies knowledge of woman
The relatives approached hospital authorities seeking clarification about the identity of the woman who had entered the room wearing an apron. However, the hospital management reportedly stated that they were not aware of who the woman was.
The response left the patient’s family members shocked, as the woman had behaved like a medical professional while entering the room.
With no clear explanation from the hospital, the relatives filed a complaint with the Market police regarding the incident and the missing gold ornaments.
Police examine CCTV footage for clues
Following the complaint, police began an investigation into the case. During the preliminary inquiry, it was found that the woman seen wearing an apron had entered and exited the nursing staff room inside the hospital premises.
CCTV cameras inside the hospital reportedly captured the movement of the woman. Investigators are now reviewing the footage to determine whether she had any connection with hospital staff or had entered the premises from outside.
The complaint filed by the patient’s relatives states that ten tolas of gold were stolen during the incident. Police are continuing the investigation to identify the woman and determine how she gained access to the hospital ward.
