Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Orders Ring Roads For All District Headquarters

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed Roads and Buildings (R&B) department officials to ensure that every district headquarters in the state is provided with a ring road.
The Chief Minister instructed that these proposed ring roads should be connected with national and state highways to strengthen road connectivity across the state.
Directions issued during departmental review meeting
The directions were issued on Wednesday during a review meeting on the functioning of the Roads and Buildings department.
The meeting was attended by Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy along with senior officials. The review focused on road infrastructure development and ongoing public infrastructure projects in the state.
Road sector planning aligned with Road Sector Policy-2047
During the meeting, the Chief Minister asked officials to prepare long-term plans for road infrastructure in accordance with the Road Sector Policy-2047.
Officials were instructed to develop comprehensive road expansion proposals aimed at improving connectivity between district headquarters and major highways.
The government intends to strengthen transport infrastructure as part of broader development planning.
Push for faster hospital construction
Apart from road infrastructure, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of healthcare infrastructure projects.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to accelerate the construction of teaching hospitals and major government hospitals across the state.
He emphasised the need to complete these projects at the earliest so that healthcare services can be strengthened in various regions.
Focus on improving Hyderabad connectivity
The review meeting also discussed measures aimed at improving road connectivity in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister instructed the Roads and Buildings department to take steps to develop connecting roads that can help ease traffic congestion in the city.
Officials were told to prioritise infrastructure projects that would support the long-term objective of transforming Hyderabad into a traffic-free city through improved road connectivity.
The government’s directions reflect a focus on strengthening both transport and healthcare infrastructure through coordinated planning and faster project execution.
