Hyderabad Police Register Case in Charlapalli Family Deaths
Bodies found on railway tracks near the city outskirts
Hyderabad police have registered a case following the deaths of three members of a single family who were found on railway tracks in the Charlapalli section on the outskirts of the city. The bodies were discovered in the early hours of Saturday at around 2.30 am.
The incident occurred between Charlapalli and Ghatkesar railway stations. Police confirmed that the bodies were located near kilometre number 206/48 within the Charlapalli railway section.
Mother and two children identified
The deceased have been identified as Vijayashanti Reddy, her daughter Chetana, and her son Vishal. Police said Vijayashanti Reddy was working in the software sector and was living in Hyderabad with her children.
Her husband, Surender Reddy, is currently in Dubai. Police officials stated that he has been informed of the incident and is expected to return, after which further clarity on the circumstances may emerge.
Suicide angle under investigation
Preliminary assessment suggests the deaths were caused by suicide, with all three reportedly coming under a train. Officials, however, said the exact sequence of events and the reasons behind the act are yet to be established.
Despite the family being described as financially stable, investigators said no clear motive has surfaced so far. Even close relatives, including the deceased woman’s brother, were unable to provide information on possible reasons for the extreme step.
Police await further inputs
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. Police are examining available evidence from the scene and are expected to record statements from family members once the husband arrives in India.
Authorities stated that further progress in the case would depend on additional inputs, including personal and professional details that may help establish a clearer picture. More updates are expected as the investigation continues.
