YSRCP Leaders Demand Halt to Tirumala Laddu Misinformation
Special prayers held in Dharmavaram
Leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) from the Dharmavaram constituency organised special prayers at the Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava Swamy temple in Dharmavaram town, demanding an end to what they described as false propaganda surrounding the Tirumala laddu prasadam of Lord Venkateswara.
The programme was held under the leadership of local YSRCP functionaries, who said the campaign was aimed at restoring faith among devotees and countering allegations being circulated by coalition leaders.

Objections to statements by political leaders
YSRCP leaders strongly objected to remarks attributed to former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, stating that comments made about the sacred prasadam were inappropriate and hurt the sentiments of crores of devotees. They alleged that statements were made without a basic understanding and were driven by political motives.
They further claimed that false narratives were spread alleging the use of animal fat in the Tirumala laddu, with the intention of defaming YSRCP for political gain.
Reference to institutional reports
Citing reports issued by the National Dairy Development Board and the National Dairy Research Institute, YSRCP leaders stated that the allegations had been found to be untrue. In light of these findings, they demanded that coalition leaders issue a public apology to devotees.
They also questioned the silence of Pawan Kalyan, stating that those claiming commitment to Hindutva should publicly acknowledge and correct the alleged misinformation.
Political criticism and public response
The YSRCP leaders accused coalition leaders of repeatedly resorting to false campaigns against former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party for political advantage. They said attempts were being made to revive the issue through certain sections of the media despite the facts being established.
They claimed that devotees in several places had come forward to express strong resentment over the issue and criticised efforts to politicise religious sentiments. The leaders reiterated that the YSRCP government had maintained communal harmony and ensured justice for all sections of society during its tenure.
Demand for accountability
YSRCP functionaries insisted that those responsible for spreading the allegations must come before the public and offer an unconditional apology. They warned that the misuse of religious issues for political purposes would not be accepted by the public.
