TTD Observes 77th Republic Day With Flag Hoisting at Tirumala
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) marked the 77th Republic Day with official ceremonies at Tirumala on Monday, with senior office-bearers hoisting the national flag at designated locations.
TTD Trust Board Chairman B.R. Naidu unfurled the national flag at his camp office in Tirumala as part of the Republic Day observances.

Several members of the TTD Trust Board were present during the ceremony, including Sadasiva Rao, Naresh Kumar, Shantaram and Panabaka Lakshmi. Officials and staff participated in the event, which was held in accordance with established protocol.
The observance reflected the institution’s participation in national celebrations while continuing its administrative and religious responsibilities.
Additional EO Hoists Flag at Gokulam Guest House
In a separate ceremony held earlier in the day, TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary hoisted the national flag at the Gokulam Guest House in Tirumala.
Addressing officials on the occasion, he said the focus of the organisation remained on strengthening internal systems and improving the quality of services offered to devotees.
Emphasis on Institutional Reforms
Venkaiah Chowdary stated that TTD, as an ancient and significant religious institution, continued to periodically review its systems in line with changing requirements. He noted that reforms were being implemented with the objective of better meeting the needs of pilgrims.
He referred to changes introduced in the Annadanam (free meal) wing over the past one-and-a-half years, stating that several policy-level improvements had been carried out during this period.
Policy Initiatives Highlighted
The Additional EO also spoke about efforts to introduce a comprehensive policy framework for the Cottage Donation Scheme. He said sustained work had gone into streamlining procedures to improve transparency and efficiency in the scheme’s implementation.
The Republic Day celebrations at Tirumala concluded with officials reaffirming their commitment to administrative discipline and service delivery, in line with the values enshrined in the Constitution.
