Chandrababu Naidu Meets Nvidia, Israel Leaders at Davos
Chandrababu Naidu engages global tech leaders at Davos
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, focusing on technology partnerships, innovation-led growth, and future-ready infrastructure for the state.
The discussions highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s push to position itself as a hub for advanced technologies, skill development, and global investments.
NVIDIA partnership and AI ecosystem plans
During the summit, Naidu met Calista Redmond, Vice President for Global AI Initiatives at Nvidia. Redmond informed the Chief Minister that Nvidia is keen to work closely with the Andhra Pradesh government to promote startups, provide skill training to youth, and create employment opportunities through a robust artificial intelligence ecosystem.
A key point of discussion was the proposal to establish India’s first Artificial Intelligence University in Amaravati. Redmond stated that Nvidia has already entered into an agreement with the state government for this initiative.
The talks also covered Nvidia’s interest in setting up a Global Capability Centre in Andhra Pradesh, exploring the possibility of a hardware manufacturing unit, and partnering with the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub.

Meetings with Israeli leadership
Naidu also met Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, along with Trade Commissioner Roy Fisher and Israel Trade Mission representative Shir Slutzky.
The discussions focused on potential collaboration in drone technology, particularly for UAV manufacturing along the Visakhapatnam–Chennai Industrial Corridor. Applications in coastal surveillance and agriculture were also explored.
Technology cooperation and industrial clusters
Water management technologies formed another major agenda item. The Chief Minister discussed desalination solutions and recycling of wastewater for industrial use, seeking Israeli technical cooperation in these areas.
Naidu also proposed collaboration in emerging sectors such as quantum computing and semiconductor manufacturing. Drawing parallels with industrial clusters in Japan and South Korea, he suggested the creation of a dedicated Israeli industrial cluster in Andhra Pradesh.
Cybersecurity vision for Amaravati
A separate discussion centered on developing Amaravati as a high-security cyber city. Israeli expertise in cybersecurity was identified as a key enabler in building resilient digital infrastructure for the capital.
The meetings underscored Andhra Pradesh’s intent to leverage global partnerships to accelerate its transformation into a technology-driven and investment-friendly state.
