Violence Erupts During Land Survey in Korremula, Plot Owners Allege Attempted Encroachment
Medchal–Malkajgiri district witnessed tense moments on Friday after a dispute over a land survey escalated into violence at a residential layout in Korremula village under the Ghatkesar mandal revenue limits.
Dispute at Ekashila Venture
The incident occurred at Ekashila Venture when a realtor identified as Venkatesh arrived at the layout to conduct a land survey. Plot owners present at the site objected to the survey, alleging that it was being carried out without their consent and under the pretext of future development.
Tensions Turn Violent
What began as a verbal confrontation soon spiralled into chaos. According to local residents, associates of the realtor allegedly attacked the plot owners indiscriminately after being questioned. Eyewitnesses said the situation quickly went out of control, creating panic among families living in the area.
One Hospitalised With Serious Injuries
During the assault, one plot owner sustained severe injuries. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed that the injuries were serious, though his condition is reported to be stable.

Plot owners accused the realtor and his associates of attempting to encroach upon their legally owned plots under the guise of conducting a survey. They alleged that similar tactics had been used earlier in the area, raising fears of organised land grabbing.

Following the incident, affected plot owners demanded swift and strict action against those involved. They urged the authorities to intervene, ensure their safety, and prevent any illegal occupation of plots in the layout.
Police are said to be assessing the situation, while residents remain on edge, calling for accountability and protection of their property rights.
