Party Marks 16th Foundation Day in Tadepalli
YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the party remains committed to values and credibility. He made the remarks during the party’s 16th foundation day celebrations held at the YSR Congress Party central office in Tadepalli on Thursday.
The event was organised at the party headquarters, where leaders and workers gathered to mark the occasion. Jagan Mohan Reddy hoisted the party flag and addressed party cadres during the programme.
Jagan Recalls Origins of the Party
Speaking at the gathering, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the YSR Congress Party emerged from public sentiment following the sudden death of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
He stated that during the early phase of the party’s formation, both the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party allegedly attempted to weaken the organisation through conspiracies and political strategies.
Party Support Helped Achieve Power
Jagan Mohan Reddy said the support and encouragement extended by party leaders and workers helped the YSR Congress Party overcome those challenges. He said the party eventually came to power and worked with the objective of welfare and development of the poor.
According to him, the party’s journey reflects the collective efforts of its leadership and grassroots workers who stood with the organisation during difficult periods.
Message to Party Workers
In a message shared on Twitter, Jagan Mohan Reddy thanked party cadres for their continued commitment to the organisation. He said workers who stood by the party and trusted its leadership were the real strength behind the organisation.
He also described the party’s political journey as more than a timeline of years, stating that it represents the dedication, trust, and sacrifices made by lakhs of workers and supporters.
The remarks were made as part of the foundation day event attended by party leaders and members at the Tadepalli headquarters.
