Employment and Youth Initiatives
The government announced a target to create 10 lakh jobs across sectors. Under the Yuva Udyami scheme, the administration plans to support the establishment of 1 lakh new micro-enterprises annually, aimed at encouraging self-employment and small-business growth.
The budget also continues recruitment in the police department and provides free coaching support for competitive examinations, targeting youth preparing for government jobs.
Digital and Technology Push
The government has allocated additional funds for digital access initiatives, including the distribution of 49.86 lakh tablets and smartphones, with Rs 2,374 crore earmarked for the programme. The administration also announced the launch of an AI Mission, along with the establishment of Artificial Intelligence labs in 49 ITIs and a Cyber Security Operations Center.
These measures are intended to strengthen digital skills, technical education, and cybersecurity preparedness.
Health and Education Expansion
The budget proposes the establishment of 14 new medical colleges and three new universities. The government also announced a scheme to provide scooters for girls, aimed at improving access to education and supporting student mobility.
Authorities stated that investments in higher education and healthcare infrastructure remain a key focus area in the financial plan.
Infrastructure and Tourism Development
Major infrastructure works, including bypasses, ring roads, and flyovers, have been proposed to ease urban traffic congestion. The budget also includes a push for tourism infrastructure development in key religious cities to improve connectivity and visitor facilities.
The government indicated that the allocations are designed to support long-term urban development and economic activity linked to tourism.
