University of Hyderabad Announces Guest Faculty Openings for 2026
The University of Hyderabad has invited applications for Guest Faculty positions at its Centre for Comparative Literature under the School of Humanities for the January–May 2026 academic session.
Temporary Teaching Roles at Centre for Comparative Literature
The recruitment drive is aimed at filling three temporary Guest Faculty posts on a lecture basis, in line with University Grants Commission (UGC) norms. These appointments are strictly for the upcoming semester and will conclude at the end of the academic session in May 2026.
Reservation and Eligibility Details
Of the three vacancies, two posts are reserved for candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, while one post is earmarked for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Comparative Literature or a closely related discipline with a minimum of 55 percent marks, along with NET qualification or a Ph.D.

Remuneration and Selection Process
Selected candidates will be paid ₹1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹50,000 per month. The selection process will involve shortlisting of applications, followed by an online interview. The university has clarified that no travel or daily allowance will be provided for the interview process.
