Exam dates advanced due to scheduling overlap

The Telangana School Education Department has revised the schedule for Summative Assessment (SA-2) examinations for Classes 1 to 9. The exams, which were earlier planned from April 10 to April 20, will now be conducted earlier.

According to School Education Director Naveen Nicolas, the change was necessitated due to overlapping with Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) examinations.

New schedule announced for all classes

As per the revised timetable, the SA-2 examinations will now commence on April 8 and conclude on April 18. The department issued an official statement confirming the updated dates.

The change applies uniformly to all classes from Class 1 to Class 9 across the state, ensuring that there is no conflict with other scheduled examinations.

Timings differ across class groups

The department has also specified different timings for various classes. Examinations for Classes 1 to 7 will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

For Class 8, the exams will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Class 9 students will appear for their exams from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, as per the revised schedule.

Administrative decision to avoid clash with TOSS exams

Officials clarified that the decision was taken to prevent logistical and administrative issues arising from the overlap with TOSS examinations. The department has communicated the revised schedule to schools for necessary arrangements.

This adjustment is aimed at ensuring smooth conduct of examinations without disruption. Schools are expected to follow the updated timetable issued by the department.
