Telangana Joins Vahan Portal for Complete Online Vehicle Services
The Telangana Vahan portal integration is set to take effect on March 15, as the state government prepares to join the Centre’s Vahan system, bringing a wide range of vehicle-related services fully online.
With this move, the Transport Department aims to simplify processes for vehicle owners by shifting key services to the digital platform. Once implemented, citizens will be able to access permissions, records, and ownership-related services without visiting the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) offices.
Online Services Under the Vahan Portal, Telangana
On the Telangana Vahan portal, all major vehicle-related services will be available online. These include ownership transfer, address change, and other registration-related modifications, even for vehicles bought or sold across different states.
Officials said vehicle owners will no longer need to visit RTA offices to update personal details such as name or address. The transition is expected to reduce paperwork, speed up approvals, and improve transparency in vehicle registration services.
The platform will also provide access to vehicle-related records, making it easier for users to track and manage their documents digitally.
Benefits for Buyers and Vehicle Owners
The Vahan portal Telangana integration will particularly benefit buyers of second-hand vehicles. Users will be able to check vehicle history online before completing a purchase, helping ensure transparency in ownership and documentation.
Additionally, services such as applying for a duplicate Registration Certificate (RC) will be available through the portal. Officials said the initiative is part of a broader effort to digitize transport services and improve public access to government systems.
The state government is currently completing technical preparations to ensure a smooth transition before the March 15 rollout.
