Telangana Education Department Issues Rules Ahead of Class 10 Board Exams
The Telangana Education Department has issued detailed instructions as the Class 10 annual examinations begin across Telangana from Saturday.
According to official figures, a total of 5,28,239 students will appear for the examinations this academic year. The department has set up 2,676 examination centres across the state to conduct the tests.
Entry Allowed Only Within Five-Minute Grace Period
Authorities have made it clear that the examination will begin at 9.30 am at all centres. Students will be allowed to enter the examination hall only up to 9.35 am, providing a grace period of five minutes.
Officials stressed that no candidate will be permitted to enter after the grace period ends. The rule has been issued to maintain uniformity in the examination process.
Students have been advised to reach their examination centres at least 30 minutes early. The department recommended that candidates arrive by 9.00 am to avoid the last-minute rush and stress before the start of the exam.
Security Measures and Anti-Malpractice Monitoring
The education department said elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the examinations. Special teams have been deployed to prevent malpractice during the tests.
Both sitting squads and flying squads will monitor examination centres across the state. These teams will conduct inspections to ensure strict adherence to examination rules.
Authorities have also announced that Section 144 will be enforced around examination centres. The restriction is intended to prevent gatherings and maintain order during the examination period.
Restrictions Near Examination Centres
Officials clarified that photocopy and xerox centres located near examination venues will remain closed during exam hours. The measure is aimed at preventing any attempt to circulate copied material.
Students have been advised to carry their hall tickets to the examination centre. The hall tickets can be downloaded from the official website.
In cases where the photograph on the hall ticket is not clear, candidates have been instructed to get it attested by the school headmaster before appearing for the examination.
Basic Facilities Arranged Considering Summer Conditions
The department has also made arrangements keeping the rising summer temperatures in mind. Drinking water facilities and basic medical support will be available at all examination centres.
Officials have urged students and parents to remain alert about the strict entry timing. With the five-minute delay rule in place, authorities emphasised the need for candidates to reach the venue well before the start of the exam.
