Telangana Delegation Set for Davos Engagement
The Telangana government is preparing for a high-profile international engagement, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy leading the state delegation to the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The visit is aimed at positioning Telangana as a competitive global investment destination.
The delegation will participate in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, scheduled to begin on January 20.
Medaram Visit Before Departure
Before departing for Davos, the Chief Minister will attend the Medaram Maha Jatara. On Monday morning, he will offer prayers at the newly reconstructed Sammakka–Saralamma gaddelu and formally inaugurate the festival.
After completing the rituals, the Chief Minister will leave Medaram by helicopter at 8 am and reach Hyderabad. He is scheduled to depart for Davos from Shamshabad airport at 9.30 am.
Ministers and Senior Officials in Delegation
The delegation accompanying the Chief Minister includes Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Senior officials travelling to Davos include Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Sanjay Kumar, and the Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajit Reddy.
The presence of key policy and industry-facing officials signals the government’s intent to hold detailed discussions with global corporations and investors during the four-day visit.
Meetings with Global Industry Leaders
During the Davos meet, Revanth Reddy is expected to hold a series of one-on-one meetings with chief executives and senior representatives of leading global companies. Discussions are scheduled with executives from Google, Salesforce, Unilever, Honeywell, L’Oréal, Novartis, Tata Group, DP World, Infosys, and Cisco, among others.
In addition to bilateral meetings, the Chief Minister will participate in multiple roundtable discussions focused on emerging economic trends and investment opportunities.
Focus on Investment and Growth Vision
The talks will centre on attracting investments into Telangana across sectors such as information technology, artificial intelligence, life sciences, manufacturing, and industrial expansion. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to use the Davos platform to present the state’s long-term development roadmap under the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision.
The government views the visit as a strategic effort to strengthen Telangana’s global outreach and reinforce its image as a preferred destination for international investment.
