According to officials, Thotakura Mahesh died four months ago. His family members approached Nagesh seeking the postmortem report.

During this process, Nagesh allegedly claimed he had contacts at Gandhi Hospital through a person named Sandeep. He reportedly demanded Rs.2 lakh to secure the report.

Later, after discussions with the deceased’s nephew Sharath, the amount was reduced to Rs.40,000.

Postmortem Report Bribery Case: ACB Conducts Trap

Following the demand, the family approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Acting on the complaint, ACB officials laid a trap in connection with the Postmortem Report Bribery Case.

As part of the operation, Nagesh first accepted Rs.5,000. Later, while receiving the remaining Rs.35,000, he was caught red-handed.

Officials seized the bribe amount and detained the accused immediately. The development marks a significant action in the Medchal corruption case.
