Following the police clarification, Vijaya Reddy’s brother Chiranjeevi approached Medipalli Police Station, alleging that certain media channels were publishing false and damaging reports about the family. Chiranjeevi demanded action against organisations spreading incorrect information. He requested that defamation notices be issued against those responsible for publishing misleading reports that caused mental distress to the grieving family.

Medipalli police informed the complainant that they would not register a criminal case in this matter. However, the family was advised to pursue legal remedies through defamation proceedings if they wished to take action against the media organisations concerned.
