Addressing the gathering, KTR congratulated the elected representatives for securing victories on behalf of the BRS and commended their role in strengthening the party at the grassroots level. The event was organised as an informal interaction aimed at reinforcing coordination between the party leadership and local representatives.
Recalling Urban Transformation Since 2014
Reflecting on his tenure as Municipal Administration Minister, KTR urged attendees to recall the condition of towns in the region before 2014. He said the visible transformation of Mahabubnagar was well known to residents and added that similar progress had taken place in Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, and Gadwal.
He stated that under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao, development was not limited to one or two towns but extended across all urban and rural areas, bringing comprehensive growth to municipalities and villages alike.
Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi Highlighted
KTR said that flagship programmes such as Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi ensured uniform development without discrimination between villages and towns. He acknowledged that the party narrowly lost the Assembly elections but asserted that the developmental groundwork laid earlier remained unmatched.
Criticism of Congress Governance
Criticizing the Congress government, which has been in power for two years, KTR alleged that no significant new development initiatives had been undertaken. He contrasted this with the BRS tenure, during which villages were equipped with tractors, water tankers, tree plantations, household tap connections, street lighting, dumping yards, Vaikuntha Dhamams, and Palle Prakruthi Vanams.
He claimed that under the current administration, water tankers were lying idle, tractors lacked fuel, and streetlights were no longer functioning in many villages, leading to hardship for rural residents.
