Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao stated that the party has decided to support the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Kothagudem municipality. He said discussions were held with Kothagudem MLA Sambasiva Rao regarding cooperation in the local body.
KTR indicated that the move was part of the party’s strategy in the municipality, where political alignments are being shaped following the recent local body developments.
Remarks on Singareni Issue
KTR said the party conveyed its willingness to work together with CPI to address concerns related to the Singareni coal sector. He stated that discussions with CPI leadership focused on the need to jointly respond to issues raised over the alleged coal irregularities.
The BRS leader said cooperation between the two parties would help in raising the matter more effectively in the public and political domain.
Political Positioning Against Major Parties
KTR stated that the support to the CPI was extended as part of a broader political approach. He said the move was aimed at countering both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the region.
He reiterated that the party would continue to make decisions based on local political developments and alliances while maintaining its position on key issues affecting the state.
