AP High Court Administers Oath to Justice Lisa Gill as Judge
Oath Ceremony Held at Amaravati High Court
Justice Lisa Gill took the oath as a judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday. The oath was administered by Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur at the High Court in Amaravati.
The ceremony formally marked her induction into the Andhra Pradesh High Court bench. Court officials and members of the judiciary were present during the proceedings.

Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur administered the oath of office to Justice Lisa Gill in accordance with judicial procedures followed for appointments to the High Court.
Justice Thakur is currently serving as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He is scheduled to retire from his position on April 24.
Seniority Position and Future Appointment
Following the retirement of Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Justice Lisa Gill is expected to assume the position of Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. She currently holds the second position in seniority among the judges of the court.
The expected transition in leadership is based on the prevailing seniority order within the High Court bench.
Judicial Career Background
Justice Lisa Gill enrolled as an advocate in 1990 and began her legal career in the profession that year. She continued practicing law before being elevated to the judiciary.
In March 2014, she was appointed as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Her judicial service in that court preceded her appointment to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Her oath on Friday formally adds her to the Andhra Pradesh High Court bench at Amaravati.
