Oil Marketing Companies Publish Latest Petrol Price List Across States
Oil marketing companies have released the latest petrol prices across Indian states and Union Territories, showing continued variation in retail fuel rates depending on local taxes and levies. The updated figures indicate that petrol prices remain above ₹100 per litre in several states, particularly in southern and eastern regions.
The data shows Telangana recording one of the highest retail prices in the country at ₹108.86 per litre. Andhra Pradesh closely follows with petrol priced at ₹108.76 per litre.
Southern and Eastern States Record Higher Fuel Rates
Among major states, Madhya Pradesh reported petrol at ₹107.45 per litre, while Bihar recorded ₹106.95 per litre. West Bengal and Kerala also remain in the high-price bracket with petrol priced at ₹106.72 and ₹106.56 per litre respectively.
Rajasthan and Maharashtra reported prices above ₹104 per litre, with petrol selling at ₹104.53 and ₹104.11 per litre. Karnataka recorded ₹103.62 per litre, while Odisha and Tamil Nadu reported prices of ₹102.31 and ₹102.17 per litre respectively.
Chhattisgarh also remains above the ₹100 mark with petrol priced at ₹101.11 per litre. Himachal Pradesh reported ₹100.43 per litre.
Several Northeastern and Northern Regions Below ₹100
Petrol prices in Mizoram and Manipur were recorded at ₹99.55 and ₹99.46 per litre respectively. Assam reported ₹98.81 per litre, while Jammu and Kashmir recorded ₹98.44 per litre.
Punjab and Jharkhand posted similar prices at ₹98.29 and ₹98.25 per litre respectively. In Nagaland and Goa, petrol prices were recorded at ₹96.61 and ₹96.43 per litre.
Puducherry reported petrol at ₹96.08 per litre, while Haryana recorded ₹95.91 per litre. Meghalaya saw prices at ₹95.66 per litre.
Metro Cities and Western States Show Lower Prices
In the national capital Delhi, petrol was priced at ₹94.77 per litre. Uttar Pradesh reported ₹94.64 per litre, while Gujarat recorded ₹94.49 per litre.
Chandigarh reported petrol at ₹94.30 per litre, while Uttarakhand recorded ₹93.64 per litre.
Among Union Territories, Dadra and Nagar Haveli reported petrol at ₹92.84 per litre, Arunachal Pradesh at ₹92.66 per litre, and Daman and Diu at ₹92.44 per litre.
The lowest petrol price in the latest list was reported in Andaman and Nicobar at ₹82.46 per litre.
Price Variation Across Regions
Fuel prices in India differ significantly across states due to variations in state-level taxes, transportation costs, and local levies. These factors contribute to the wide gap between the highest and lowest petrol prices seen in the current list.
The latest figures show that several states continue to face petrol prices well above ₹100 per litre, while a few regions maintain comparatively lower retail rates.
