Hyderabad Police conduct preparations for Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra

Coordination meeting held with organisers

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sajjanar has reviewed arrangements for the annual Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra scheduled in the city. A coordination meeting was held with members of the festival committee to plan the procession.

The Shobha Yatra, organised every year in Hyderabad on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, is conducted on a large scale. Preparations for this year’s procession have already begun.

Guidelines issued to ensure smooth conduct

During the meeting, the Commissioner directed organisers to strictly follow prescribed guidelines during the procession. He emphasised the need for coordination between organisers and authorities to avoid disruptions.

Sajjanar stated that the procession has been conducted efficiently for the past 16 years. He added that similar arrangements will be made this year to ensure smooth execution.

Security deployment and surveillance measures

The police department has planned extensive security arrangements for the event. Around 3,000 police personnel will be deployed for duty during the procession.

Special teams, including crime teams and She Teams, will be positioned to prevent incidents such as chain snatching and other offences. Continuous monitoring will be carried out across the route.

Use of drones and CCTV monitoring

Authorities will use drone surveillance to oversee the movement of the procession. In addition, CCTV cameras will be installed along the route to maintain constant vigilance.

Officials indicated that these measures are aimed at maintaining order and ensuring public safety throughout the event.

Measures to avoid previous delays

The Commissioner noted that last year’s procession was delayed due to a vehicle breakdown. Steps are being taken this time to prevent such issues and ensure the procession concludes as per schedule.

Authorities are working to streamline logistics so that the Shobha Yatra proceeds without interruption.
