Hyderabad Infant Murder: Police Arrest Mother in Baurampet
Hyderabad Police Arrest Mother in Infant Murder Case After Shocking Incident
The Hyderabad infant murder case has shocked the city after a two-month-old baby was allegedly killed by his mother in Baurampet. Police confirmed that the accused woman has been taken into custody following a complaint filed by the child’s father. The incident occurred on Monday night, and an investigation is currently underway.
Background of the Hyderabad Infant Murder
According to police, Rajendra Adivasi (21) and Mamata Ahirwar (20), natives of Madhya Pradesh, had migrated to Hyderabad for livelihood. The couple worked as laborers at a construction site in Baurampet and lived in a temporary shed near the building. They had a two-month-old son.
Police said the baby had been crying continuously on Monday night, which allegedly angered the mother. In a brutal act, she reportedly stuffed cloth into the infant’s mouth, tied his legs, and threw him into a burning wood stove, resulting in his death. The Hyderabad infant murder has triggered widespread concern over the safety of children in vulnerable living conditions.
Father’s Complaint Leads to Arrest
When Rajendra returned from work and could not find the baby, he questioned his wife. Her inconsistent replies raised suspicion, prompting him to search the area. The infant’s burnt body was later found inside the stove.
Based on the father’s complaint, Dundigal police reached the spot, collected evidence, and took the accused mother into custody. A case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing. The infant’s body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Impact and Ongoing Investigation
Police officials stated that the Hyderabad infant murder is being examined from all angles. Authorities are verifying the sequence of events and awaiting post-mortem findings. The incident has highlighted the distress faced by migrant labor families and the need for stronger social and psychological support systems.
Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
