Police in Guntur district have begun an investigation after a student from Vignan educational institutions in Vaddlamudi, Chebrolu, was allegedly assaulted by fellow students on Wednesday. The incident reportedly occurred after the victim was taken to a secluded garden area near the college.

According to preliminary information, the student was persuaded by a group of peers and led away from the campus before the attack took place.

Once inside the isolated garden, several students allegedly gathered and attacked the victim. Reports indicate that the student was beaten with sticks and physically assaulted. The exact circumstances and sequence of events leading to the incident remain under examination.
