CM Announces Integrated Development Plan for Warangal and Karimnagar
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a comprehensive development plan to transform Warangal and Karimnagar into twin cities with coordinated infrastructure and urban expansion. The plan includes the completion of Outer Ring Roads for both cities and the expansion of connecting roads to strengthen regional mobility.
The Chief Minister also stated that a large dump yard will be established between the two cities, along with a power generation unit at the same location. The proposal is aimed at improving urban waste management and supporting energy needs through integrated planning.
Foundation Laid for Technology Centre and Degree College
The announcement was made during the ‘Prajapalana – Pragati Bata’ programme held at Gumlappur in Choppadandi constituency of Karimnagar district. On the occasion, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for an Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) to be constructed at a cost of ₹45.15 crore in Choppadandi.
He also inaugurated works for a government degree college to be built in Gangadhara mandal with an allocation of ₹5 crore. Officials indicated that these projects are part of broader efforts to strengthen education and skill infrastructure in the district.
Twin City Vision Linked with Transport and Aviation Connectivity
Addressing the public meeting, the Chief Minister said the Warangal Outer Ring Road and airport project will be completed and connected to the Karimnagar Outer Ring Road. The government aims to develop both cities as model municipal corporations through coordinated infrastructure and urban planning.
He added that the proposed developments are intended to position the twin cities as a structured urban corridor with improved connectivity and civic infrastructure. The long-term plan focuses on balanced urban growth and integrated regional planning.
Temple Development Plans Ahead of Godavari Pushkaralu 2027
The Chief Minister announced that temples located from Basara in Adilabad to Bhadrachalam in Khammam will be developed as part of a comprehensive plan ahead of the Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled in 2027. He stated that, if required, the government is prepared to allocate several thousand crore rupees for the project.
The plan also includes developing eco-tourism in forest areas located along the stretch between major pilgrimage centers. The objective is to strengthen tourism infrastructure alongside religious development.
Government Reviews Welfare and Employment Measures
The Chief Minister said the government has been addressing issues faced by farmers, students, youth, and women through various welfare programs. He referred to the farm loan waiver up to ₹2 lakh, minimum support price measures, bonus for fine paddy, Rythu Bima, and Rythu Bharosa schemes, stating that ₹1.15 lakh crore has been spent on agriculture support.
He also said that 70,000 jobs have been filled over the past two years. To improve educational conditions for students, particularly those in BC and SC hostels, the government is constructing 100 Young India Integrated Residential Schools. Additional measures include a 40 percent increase in mess charges and a 200 percent increase in cosmetic charges for social welfare hostel students. Women’s Welfare and Financial Support Measures
The Chief Minister stated that free bus travel has been introduced in RTC for women as part of efforts to support their mobility and dignity. He added that women’s groups have been provided loans worth ₹27,000 crore at zero interest.
He also announced the allocation of 1,000 buses, petrol bunks, and solar power units with a combined capacity of 1,000 MW to women’s organizations. During the event, a cheque of ₹110.10 crore was handed over to the Karimnagar Sri Sitaramachandra District Women’s Federation.
Ministers and Representatives Attend Public Programme
District in-charge Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Adluri Laxman Kumar addressed the gathering. Public representatives from the united Karimnagar district attended the program in large numbers.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is prepared to present details of development carried out over the past two years on the floor of the Assembly. He reiterated that the state aims to progress through planned development initiatives across sectors.
