Minister Highlights Government Focus on Women and Child Safety
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anitha stated that the coalition government is giving high priority to the safety of women and children. She said the administration has sent a strong message that strict action will be taken against anyone who harms girls or women.
The minister made the remarks while addressing concerns related to law and order, stressing that protection of vulnerable groups remains a key focus of the government’s policing and administrative approach.

During proceedings in the Legislative Council, YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani alleged that crime has increased in the state over the past two years. Responding to the charge, Minister Anitha rejected the claim and defended the government’s record on maintaining public safety.
She reiterated that the administration has implemented measures aimed at strengthening security and ensuring swift response in cases involving women and children.

The minister underlined that law enforcement agencies have been directed to act firmly in cases involving crimes against women and minors. She said the government’s approach is focused on deterrence and public confidence in safety mechanisms.
