The bus had departed Hyderabad in the afternoon, carrying 19 passengers, and was proceeding towards Vijayawada. While nearing Choutuppal, the driver, identified as Nagaraju, reportedly suffered a sudden heart attack.
Despite the medical emergency, the bus was brought to a stop on the roadside, preventing any loss of control or collision.
Driver Dies at the Wheel
Officials said the driver collapsed in his seat and was later declared dead. Nagaraju was a native of Ollapudi and was employed at the Vijayawada depot, according to preliminary information shared by authorities.
