Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s action-packed thriller Akhanda 2 finally found its way to theaters on December 12 after being postponed from its scheduled December 5 release due to some last-minute legal concerns. Viewers will soon be able to watch the film on THIS OTT platform.
Although opinions on other aspects of the film are still divided, both audiences and critics have appreciated Nandamuri Balakrishna’s larger-than-life portrayal and the film’s intense action scenes.
Fans now get an update regarding its OTT release. According to OTT Nights, Netflix has apparently obtained the streaming rights, and industry sources speculate that the movie may launch on OTT on January 9, 2026.
It appears that the decision to postpone the wider Hindi release and concentrate on regional screenings was a calculated attempt to create excitement before the digital premiere.
Nandamuri Balakrishna reappears in the follow-up as the well-known Akhanda, a figure renowned for battling evil with his holy force. Actor Aadhi Pinisetty appears as a strong enemy with supernatural powers, adding another level of suspense.
Aadhi Pinisetty discussed his involvement, saying, “I didn’t ask about the story when director Boyapati Srinu approached me and mentioned I would be acting opposite Balayya garu,” as reported by Economic Times. He expressed his respect for sharing the screen with Nandamuri Balakrishna and his faith in the filmmaker by saying, “I just wanted to know if the role was strong enough.”
