A murder case has been registered in Visakhapatnam after a woman was killed in the Kailasapuram area under Gajuwaka limits. The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, has caused concern locally due to the nature of the crime.

Accused invites woman home during wife’s absence
The accused, identified as Ravindra, is employed as an aircraft technician in the Indian Navy. He allegedly had an extramarital relationship with a married woman, Mounika (28), who is from the same locality.
According to available details, Ravindra called Mounika to his house while his wife was away at her parental home.
Dispute over money leads to fatal assault
Both individuals were reportedly together at the residence until late at night. After midnight, an argument broke out between them over financial matters.
During the altercation, Ravindra allegedly attacked Mounika with a knife, resulting in her death.
The body was dismembered and kept inside the house
Following the incident, the accused reportedly cut the body into two parts. One portion was placed in a refrigerator, while the other was kept inside the house.
The sequence of events has drawn attention due to the manner in which the body was handled after the murder.
Accused surrenders, police begin investigation
Ravindra later went to the police station and surrendered. Police registered a case and visited the crime scene to collect evidence.
During preliminary questioning, the accused is said to have stated that he committed the act following repeated disputes related to money.
