CRDA Clears Plan to Accelerate Amaravati Construction

Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana outlined decisions related to land allotments for various institutions in Amaravati. The authority decided to allocate land to several major banks to improve access to banking services for residents.

The CRDA also approved the allocation of land for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state office in the capital region. These measures are part of broader efforts to support administrative and service infrastructure.

Clearances for Key Government Buildings

The authority granted all pending approvals required for the construction of crucial structures, including the High Court and the Assembly in Amaravati. In a significant administrative move, CRDA decided to transfer execution of the works to AGICL.

Officials stated that the approvals are intended to remove procedural delays and enable faster progress on priority government projects in the capital.

Focus on Urban Infrastructure and Environment

The meeting also reviewed plans related to the construction of roads and drainage systems across the capital city. Detailed discussions were held on implementing the ‘Green and Blue’ design approach, which aims to combine environmental sustainability with urban development.

Authorities stated that the objective is to develop Amaravati into an aesthetically planned and environmentally balanced city. As part of this vision, parks in the capital are proposed to be built to international standards.

Study of Global Park Models

Minister Narayana directed officials to conduct a detailed study of parks in other countries before finalising designs for Amaravati. The government intends to integrate advanced technology with natural landscaping to shape the long-term development of the capital.

The decisions taken at the 58th CRDA meeting are expected to accelerate infrastructure execution and strengthen the administrative framework for Amaravati’s planned growth.
