Microsoft founder Bill Gates is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday as part of discussions with the state government on collaboration in priority sectors. The visit will focus on strengthening cooperation in education, healthcare, and agriculture.
During the visit, Gates will meet Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh to review ongoing initiatives and explore further partnership opportunities.
Meetings at the Secretariat and the RTGS centre
As per the schedule, Bill Gates will arrive at the Secretariat at 10 am on Monday. He will first visit the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) centre to observe the use of technology in governance and administrative monitoring.
Following the visit, Gates and his delegation will hold discussions with the Chief Minister, ministers, and senior officials. The talks will focus on expanding ongoing projects being implemented with support from the Gates Foundation in the fields of education, healthcare, and agriculture.
Presentation on Swarna Andhra Vision and Sanjeevani project
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is expected to present the reforms undertaken to achieve the ‘Swarna Andhra Vision-2047’ goals. The presentation will cover public health, agriculture, education, med-tech, and the Sanjeevani initiative.
Officials will also brief Gates on the functioning of the Sanjeevani project, which aims to create digital health records and improve access to medical services through technology. The state government is planning to expand the project with continued support from the Gates Foundation.
Visit to the agricultural fields in Amaravati
After the official meetings, Bill Gates and his team will visit an agricultural field near Undavalli in Amaravati. The visit will focus on examining modern farming practices using drones and artificial intelligence for crop management and productivity improvement.
The visit is part of ongoing engagement between the Andhra Pradesh government and global partners in technology-driven development across key public sectors.
