KTR Releases Dossier Highlighting Decline of Chennur Municipalities Under Congress Rule
Raising concerns over what he described as a sharp deterioration in civic administration, BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao on Tuesday released a special booklet detailing the condition of municipalities in the Chennur Assembly constituency.
The booklet, prepared by local BRS leaders, contrasts the development achieved in Chennur and Kyathanpally municipalities during the party’s decade-long tenure with the alleged stagnation witnessed over the past two years under the Congress government.
Ten Years of Growth, Two Years of Reversal
According to the document, the municipalities recorded “significant progress” during the BRS administration, with improvements in infrastructure, civic amenities, and urban management. The booklet claims that this momentum has been disrupted since the change in government, attributing the slowdown to administrative inefficiency and lack of oversight.
Party leaders argue that projects initiated earlier have either stalled or lost direction, leaving residents grappling with unresolved civic issues.
Booklet Unveiled in Hyderabad
The booklet was formally released in Hyderabad, where KTR was joined by Chennur constituency in-charge and former MLA Balka Suman. Speaking at the event, BRS leaders said the publication aims to place documented facts before the public and spark discussion on governance and accountability at the municipal level.
Political Messaging Ahead of Local Focus
The release of the booklet is being viewed as part of the BRS’s broader effort to highlight contrasts between its record in office and the performance of the current government, particularly in urban local bodies.
Party sources indicated that similar issue-based campaigns may follow in other constituencies as the BRS sharpens its outreach at the grassroots level.
